our story
We always had a love for the North Norfolk coast, it’s where we met and where we’ve built our lives. Colin is an avid surfer who is a firm believer that the sea improves our physical and mental wellbeing and Mim is a interior designer who spent a few years in Denmark where she discovered the hygge lifestyle and fell in love with this celebration of simple living and togetherness.
Over the years we have cultivated this kind of life on the Norfolk coast with our family and after having conversations with some of our friends who are struggling to get away and spend quality time with their families due to the overwhelming stress of modern life, we decided that we wanted to created a retreat that allows people to slow down, rest and reconnect with their loved ones.
We have remodeled an old house near the beach with Mim’s eye for design and Colin’s love for the outdoors and created a cozy, peaceful hideaway. We are convinced there is no matter place to refresh your soul than here, but then again we’re biased... we just love it here!

We have always loved gathering people around a table or a campfire, Soul Surf House represents everything we love: a place for family and friends, the outdoors, surfing and swimming in the sea, and a home filled with all the simple pleasures in life. We have built great relationships with all the artisans and local makers and builders that have helped us make this dream a reality.
We hope that you will feel the love and soul that we’ve put into this hideaway and be refreshed by the slow coastal life that we enjoy so much.
